What personal data we collect and why we collect it

If you choose to sign up and join the Get Well Stay Well network, we ask you to share your name and email address. This is so that staff from AoS can contact you and share with you the relevant information about the initiative and how to sign up.

If you choose to sign up by completing the online form we send you, we will ask you for information regarding your experiences of helping the individuals involved with the welfare systems to be more physically active.

The form will also ask you if you consent to receive our e-newsletter, and it will ask you for your organisations postcode so that we can promote you as a member on our map.

We do not ask for comments on any of our posts.

Media

The Get Well Stay Well website aims to champion our members and their activities which we will amplify via our social media channels. If you choose to share information with us, this will be done via connection with our staff team and you will be asked for consent before anything is published.

Contact forms

This website’s contact form directs you to the contact us page on the AoS website. If you choose to contact us an email will be sent to a member of the team who will respond accordingly. We do not use this information for marketing purposes and we do not share enquiries with a third party.

If you sign up to the Get Well Stay Well Network, we will store your name, email address, organisation name and location. If you choose to leave the network, your information will be deleted from the system after six months.

What rights you have over your data

As network members you can access your personal data at any time. You can also choose to leave our network by not completing your bi-annual information forms or asking to leave by contacting a member of our team.

Where your data is sent

If you have any concerns regarding the use of your data, you should contact the Chief Executive of AoS, who acts as the organisation’s Data Protection Officer. That person is James Mapstone and you can contact him via the websites contact page and stating ‘Data Protection’ in the subject heading.

How we protect your data

AoS takes the security and privacy of your data seriously. We need to gather and use information or ‘data’ about you as part of our business and to manage our relationship with you. We intend to comply with our legal obligations under the Data Protection Act 2018 (the ‘2018 Act’) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (‘GDPR’) in respect of data privacy and security.

AoS also maintains Cyber Essentials accreditation, a scheme that helps organisations protect their data and IT systems from common cyber threats.  

What data breach procedures we have in place

The AoS has a GDPR Critical Incident Policy in place and support from a specialist partner.
